It's always been something that's been frustrating for me as an artist who is trying to grow. I will always recommend people give NG a shot cause I truly believe the platform we need has always been right here.

i totally agree the whole youtube system is crap, i mean it was half decent when it started and thats what got me thinking it would be decent, hell i dont even have monetize ads on my channel and my popular uploads youtube still inserts ads. its way to streamlined to huge channels leaving all the small guys unheard, we gotta do NG proud.

Hey man, please keep doing whatever the fuck it is. I understand looking back on the year can invoke pessimism and other negative shit, so I hope this will pass.
There's one little bit of advice I want to give you. Please look into a (freelance) job as a motion and or graphic designer. It's one of the few jobs us digital artist can do while staying artistic.
Fuck youtube and adsense revenue, its an oversaturated field that you needed to be early with in order for it to actually pay off.
But hey, maybe you're right and Newgrounds will explode all over the internet again, but it a lot of that depends on outward input. And getting a fucking mobile app off the ground.
But until then, I'll stay subscribed, I'll stay liking your stuff and I will keep listening.

So I watched the whole thing and came to the conclusion that you're mad about not being popular or successful yet in the same video explain how you're too lazy to work hard in order to be popular or successful.

I see this in all types of professions, hobbys and online games especially. There are millions of people out there like this who just REFUSE to work hard and constantly come up with excuses as

I actually agree with you, I want to improve and the video I made was purely out of frustration with myself. I made several jabs at myself in the video about the points you made how I'm lazy and don't really know if I'm passionate about what I do, I just wanted to see what others truly thought about myself, negative or positive it's all welcome. Also something tells me you made an alt account because you're too afraid to tell me this on whatever your regular account may be, or do lurkers still exist on NG? Whatever the case may be, I AM putting myself out there and speaking my mind because I am trying to create a better life for myself. You're entitled to your opinion, and it might sound crazy but I actually appreciate it.
Everything you said in the video's been true. I remember 10 years ago this place had sooooo much traffic and all eyes were on these new movies and games and it all felt great and new. The internet has taken a wrong turn and the opportunity for success or even the desire to try and push out original content as much as possible has been less of an actual passion and now it's to make money.
Newgrounds, in my mind, has the potential to become the birthing of new and original movies and games just as it was 10+ years ago. The future looks bleak but Newgrounds can be what it once was again; a platform for success. I don't think anybody wants to have to make their primary source of income off of a "gaming channel". I cringe at the thought of sitting in front of your computer (or tv) all day and just spewing out "funny" jokes while playing video games (and making money off it). I would hate to be trapped in an infinite loop of having to play games and making unfunny jokes to pay rent.

Hey man, great vids. I can really relate to the things you said about being born in the world, having to abide by rules you didn't sign a contract for. Anyway, have you considered working with a programmer before? I imagine your art style could make for some pretty cool games!

Thanks man. I have, a few times. Takes a lot of dedication and motivation though. Really need to form a solid concept and I've never really had that with a programmer. Would love to make a fun game that I am passionate about.
